Particle-Based Modeling
The software prioritizes the smallest areas with the highest probability of containing the target. In maritime environments, we use thousands of particles that form a probabilistic portrait of the scenario.
Each particle receives an origin and initial weight compatible with confidence in each hypothesis, creating a heat map that guides the search toward areas with the highest probability and lowest dispersion.
Monte Carlo Propagation
Each particle is propagated through time using stochastic simulation. We combine drift by wind (leeway) and currents with persistence - velocities maintain direction for a correlation time before dispersing.
This approach produces plausible tracks and creates a cloud that grows at the right rate, avoiding unrealistic patterns while maintaining physical accuracy.
